Some of the search strings i am using are listed below:
(filetype:doc OR filetype:wpd OR filetype:wps OR filetype:pdf OR filetype:rtf OR filetype:txt) AND (intitle:~cv OR inurl:~cv) AND "Skill Name"
(filetype:pdf OR filetype:doc OR filetype:rtf) (intitle:resume OR inurl:resume OR "my resume") (-apply OR -submit OR -benefits OR -recruiter OR -Openings)
(intitle:"resume for" | intitle:"resume of") "skill name" -job -apply –submit
~resume "Skill Name" -job -apply –submit
(intitle:resume | inurl:resume | intitle:homepage | inurl:homepage) "Skill Name" -job -apply –submit
~resume (filetype:pdf | filetype:doc | filetype:rtf | filetype:htm | filetype:html) "Skill Name" -job -apply –submit
(resume | homepage | profile | bio) "Skill Name" inurl:"/res/"
(resume | cv | vitae | homepage) "Skill Name" -about -jobs -apply –submit
(intitle:resume | intitle:homepage | intitle:vitae) "Skill Name" -about -jobs -apply –submit
While searching in Google keep in mind that Google will display only 1000 results even though the number of results exceeds this number.
Try to keep the search string not to exceed more than 10 words for better results.
http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&q=resume&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=
One can add
num=100 in the URL directly in the address bar for Google to display 1-100 on each page.
Also we can get results limited to one country by adding &cr=country(Country's short form in capital Letters)& in the URL in the address bar (
http://www.google.com/search?num=100&cr=countryIN&hl=en&q=resume&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=
For example for
INDIA &cr=countryIN&
CHINA &cr=countryCN&
Australia &cr=countryAU&
etc
We can also search in different Search Engines from Google itself.
Just use the below strings:
~resume Skill.name site:yahoo.com (to search in yahoo)
we can search Resume in many different ways using different techniques.
Also i want to thank IRINa for inviting me to Join her on Recruitingblogs.com giving me the opportunity to share my views.
