A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology is required with at least 8 yrs of experience for the senior position and 5 yrs experience for the engineer position. Engineering experience must be related to the design, operation or maintenance aspects of the electric utility industry. A background in substation electrical systems and protection & control schemes is highly desired. Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards, related to substations and transmission lines is preferred. Strong organizational skills, effective verbal communication, concise writing, and initiative are required. Proficiency in the use of information technology systems and associated software is required.
Individual plans, coordinates and manages the development of electrical engineering standards for design, procurement, and construction of CT, MA, & NH transmission lines and substations. Individual performs research of industry practices; assist in evaluating past practices, coordinates engineering reviews in CT and NH, supports engineering meetings in CT & NH, monitors vendor performance.
