Sharing Usernames and Passwords on Job Portals and Corporates searching the databases.

Hi All,

I have been working for job portals that advertise vacancies and allow recruiters to search CV databases.  There is a fairly large unethical practise growing worldwide, namely point 1 below.

1.  Recruiters are sharing usernames and passwords which is completely unfair to these Job Portals and reducing their business potential markedly.  They cannot track IP addresses as very often a telecom and mobile phone companies use random IP addresses.  Is there a way for job portals to track who is using their logins?  Do Monster do anything?

2. The job portal I have worked for only allows Recruitment Agencies / Headhunters to search the CV database.  They do not allow corporate clients to search their CV database to 'protect jobseekers' and prevent employers searching for their own employees....... your thoughts would be appreciated.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

John.
