I am looking at switching recruiting software. I have 5 recruiters in our office and we currently use Bullhorn. We would like to switch to something that is less expensive, however still give us the ability to do a datbase keyword search. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Scott, There is a ton of stuff on this here on RecruitingBlogs.com. try this to start

we also started building out a directory of recruiting tools on RecruitingTools.com there are a few companies there and everyday we are adding to it.
Hello Scott,

Bullhorn does offer a great product however many people do find it difficult to justify the price. What are some of the other features, beyond keyword searches, that are of most importanance to you? Identifying some of the most important aspects can help you eliminate solutions that do not suit you and make your search a bit easier.

There are many options out there so it can be a little overwhelming at times. I would be happy to offer you some more information on my company mindSCOPE and our product CURA, if you have any interest. We offer a robust system at a highly competitive rate with flexible terms.

Best of luck with your search!

Kind Regards,

Hi Scott,

Check out Talent Management Plus (TMP), a fully-integrated technology that effectively enables recruiters to identify and screen superior performers. Developed by Target Training International, Ltd., TMP facilitates pre-screening, pre-qualifying and pre-assessing of candidates within one automated system. Features include applicant tracking, benchmarking comparisons, advanced data management, pre-hire and post-hire solutions, compliance data storage, and powerful search capabilities. For more information and a free demonstration, go to www.ttitmp.com
Take a look at cbiz. www.cbizsoft.com I did all the research and was tempted by Bullhorn as well, but couldn't justify the cost for a small firm. Cbiz has no setup cost and ranges from $39-69 month per desk, depending on whether you choose stand alone or web version. I used stand alone for several years and then upgraded to the web based version. It's pretty robust, you can do bulk mail, search easily on keywords and my favorite feature, with one click you can download a resume from email and cbiz will inhale it, create a candidate shell and attach the email, and you can do one resume, or hundreds at a time, which is nice. You can try it free for a month before committing to see how you like it, which is what I did.

Good luck!
~Pam
