I was talking with a few independent recruiters that had signed split contracts with some of the bigger firms out there and the contracts they signed seemed vastly different from the ones I share with my partners.

Could anyone share some samples (names removed to protect the innocent of course) of split contracts you have signed with other independent recruiters and/or larger firms.  I have suspected as has my attorney that some of the contracts we may have signed have an easy out clause.

I wanted to amass some samples and report back to everyone on possible legal pitfalls to some split contracts.  In the end the contract is only as good as the people who sign it, but, sometimes better safe than sorry.

Hopefully, your little investment of time and my report back to you all will save someone somewhere a split fee.
