I spent most of my day in an airport.

It didn't start off too well as the dynamic duo in front of me in the security line, a mother and young adult, daughter proceeded to sneak through security while those handling security found it humorous. And the mom behind me complained and moaned about having her $4 bottle of water confiscated. It still surprises me when individuals fail to understand security rules, even nearly ten years after 9/11.

My flight from Orange County's John Wayne Airport to Phoenix was uneventful, thank goodness because the three and half hour layover that ensued nearly drove me mad. Delayed flights, rude flight attendants, ignorant travelers, and fatigue can take their toll. Good thing I am incredibly excited about this trip and the potential for learning that awaits.

Craig Fisher of A List Solutions and TNL fame put together an incredible one-day conference coordinated with the onslaught of tech-driven and social-minded recruiting industry professionals, looking forward to the brain share... PLUS the hugely popular UNsix Tweet-Up organized by the incomparable taking place after TNL.

I guess the bottom line is: the hassle, the travel, the work, the discomfort are all worth it. Looking forward to the amount of information that will blow past me, I hope some of it will stick - I "know" some of it will. What sticks will become a post, I'm sure. Proving the value - a worthy endeavor.
