Where do you think recruiting will be once Obama care goes into effect

I have been reading many articles over the past few months about Obama Care. One thing that has stuck out to me is how it may bring a bull marketing into staffing. Or how it may possibly hurt staffing.

What are your thoughts on this particular subject?

How are you preparing for this new law?

IMO, Obamacare will be great for Contract Recruiting as companies will try to pare back payroll for all except essential 'rain maker' business movers they want to retain who drive their business.

Perm recruiters will do well in areas the demand is greater than supply, but in general will find more resistance with companies to utilize/pay for their services unless the job is almost or impossible to fill.

I don't expect too many opportunities where companies are expanding adding groups to their department--more like onesy twosy hiring, if at all.

Obama is wringing business profits and individual wealth building out of the private sector economy to fund government dependents of one variety or other creating disincentive for them to corporate capital spend in the US.  If there are jobs, IMO it will be in spite of Obama and not because of him.

Just my five cents......

Business is AWESOME right now - in both contract and direct staffing.  Go out there and get some!

There are some "awesome" sectors where demand outstrips supply and companies have fillable jobs they'll pay fees for.

You just need to be in one of them, and good at what you do.

Yea I think it will be good for staffing agencies too. This is why I felt it was a good time to start my own agency. It is still slow but I know once I do get my first client and job orders it will start to trickle down more. Most companies this is the best way to avoid the penalty for insurance especially if they arent offering sufficient enough for the new Health Care law
