Why do you love recruiting? What makes you excited to sit at your desk each day? The RBC is partnering with Bullhorn Reach for our February blogging contest for a chance to win an iPad and other great prizes. All you need to do is share your blog (200 word minimum) on why you love recruiting. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers since we all do what we do for different reasons.

The contest will start on Monday, 02/06/12 and will run through Tuesday, 02/28/12. The winners will be announced on Friday, 03/02/12. The winners will be chosen based on the number of "Likes" received from the Recruiting Blogs community. These are not Facebook "Likes" but rather, network "Likes" (see pic). We are using this system because it will allow only RBC members the opportunity to vote (only one vote per member for each entry).

The blog that receives the most "Likes" by midnight ET on 02/28/12 will be our grand prize winner and will receive an iPad from our friends at the Bullhorn Reach team. The grand prize winner will also receive an opportunity to have their blog featured on RecruitingDaily.com and on RecruitingTrends.com. So in addition to a great grand prize, this is a chance to get some great exposure recruiters!

The second runner up will receive a copy of the Inbound Recruiter's new book Headhunter and Headhunted and a $50 Amazon gift card. The third runner up will receive a copy of Headhunter and Headhunted.

Share your blog on why you love recruiting, network and friend other members of the RBC to get their support and enjoy reading why recruiters love recruiting.

*Your Entry must be placed in the I love Recruiting - Blog Contest Forum to be official.

Good luck!

We all have our reasons for doing what we do and how we stumbled into the world of recruiting. There are also numerous sources of motivation that propel us each and every day to strive for new heights of success. One consistent theme that became evident from our blog contest is that we are in a position to help people. Whether it’s helping clients, colleagues or most importantly candidates, being in a position to offer assistance and perhaps make an impact on another individual's life is really something special. On that note we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to share why you love recruiting. We have almost thirty entries, all of which share excellent insights and serve as great motivation to be the best recruiter you can be. We’d like to acknowledge and congratulate the top three bloggers and their posts:

Second Place: Joel Garcia - Why I Love Recruiting
Third Place: Sandra McCartt - How come it is I love Recruiting

I voted for each of you and your impressive entries.

And kudos to the RBC and Bullhorn Reach for the idea of promoting and sponsoring such a blogging contest on "Why I Love Recruiting" on the RBC.  It certainly allowed everyone who took the time to read the nearly thirty contest entries to get to know each participant a little bit better--both on the professional and personal level.

I certainly enjoyed participating and was enriched by the overall experience.
