"Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work." ~Aristotle

Do you enjoy your work? Do the people around you enjoy their work? I came across this article recently and was blown away by how this could possibly happen...

Full engagement requires just that, full engagement. Becoming more than just occupied in your work, become interested in those around you... Is it just a job? Are those around you just business partners, co-workers, or employees? Do you find joy or are you "dead" at your job and no one knows it?

Working hard can be fulfilling if it is accompanied by joy and interaction. Making a difference is what most humans crave. Does it make a difference if you are the first to arrive and the last to leave, if no one ever says "hello" or you never establish a meaningful relationship? I suppose there are those that are fulfilled by the work alone, but there is an old adage that I know know to be true: No one ever said on their death bed, "I wish I had worked more."

Days break into moments and moments are what define our work, our relationships, our lives. How will your moment read? "Worker dead at desk for five days?" Let's hope not, engage! Whether you work in a lone home office or the 39th floor with 25 other people, it doesn't matter. We consistently meet opportunities to connect or "share air," as I like to call it. Today, more than ever, it is vital that we exhibit enthusiasm about our work and those with whom we share...

Oscar Wilde put it so aptly and, amazingly enough, with such relevance, “The best way to appreciate your job is to imagine yourself without one.”

I bet the poor guy would've made a good phone sourcer.

I have always enjoyed Oscar Wilde - I see you do too.
It takes a certain type of capriciousness to appreciate him.
;)
Its hilarious nobody noticed a dead man for five long days.Even his family members didn't search out for him.
