Hello,
I would like to work as an independent recruiter and I would like to know if there is a need for a special license to recruit, or would a business name registration enough? Just seeking your advice dear members.

Alfred,
It depends on the requirements in your country for operating a business.
I would suggest joining the HR Club Philippines at:
http://www.businessmaker-academy.com/hrclubphilippines.html
They can guide you relative to business licensing, certifications, etc., relative to pursuing independent work as a professional recruiter.
Acquiring professional certifications in HR related disciplines, including recruitment/staffing, always looks good in a professional biography.
Buena suerte.
Tino
Thank you much Tino for your reply. I forgot to mention that I am planning to register a sole proprietorship business in the US and what I am asking about is if the US govt. requires any special license for a recruitment business or would a bus registration be enough.
I am a US resident and I travel back and forth to the Philippines.
