This is the first career expo of its kind that integrates career building and MTV style financial literacy events!
Mission:
To inspire young adults to build their careers, achieve financial freedom and become community service agents.
The goals of the Career Connections Expo are:
• To connect Human Resource Executives offering internships and entry level employment opportunities with HBCU students and diverse students from surrounding universities in Atlanta, GA, Washington, DC, and Greensboro, NC.
• To offer personal finance workshops during the expo to educate students on money management strategies, employee benefits and using their salary wisely to build wealth.
• To gain students commitment to become socially responsible by volunteering 5 community service hours in exchange for $10 admission to the Career Connections Expo.
Career Expo dates are planned for 3 prominent HBCU markets and will be hosted by Comedienne Mira J. She’s a featured cast member on one of the nation’s most famous syndicated radio programs-The Tom Joyner Morning Show.
Our Career Connections Expo Opening VIP Reception Atlanta, GA will take place January 2010.
