Police check changes will have major impact on recruiters

New rules around police checks to apply from 1 January will have a major impact on the recruitment industry and talent acquisition teams, and will push up costs and compliance requirements, according to accredited providers.<!--MORE--> The new access regime is designed to improve data security on police check information and give candidates more control and visibility over who receives their information. The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC), which administers the system with state police agencies, says the new system introduces much stricter guidelines for accredited providers on the collection, storage, and vetting of criminal check information, along with new limits and controls on who they can pass information on to...

"But we found that our efficiencies and productivity have been where they need to be," he said. So there hasn't been a need to change its ['flexible Fridays' approach](80706)...

Hi guys - As a recruiter for over ten years and now working with a mate helping her grow her business in Asia and Australia in Rec to Rec, I would be really interested in knowing how you guys look for work or people. It is becoming more difficult to find "non jaded" recruiters who are experienced that are looking for the next challenge. What makes you take the next step? If you would like to answer this off the record my personal email address is suejanemartin@gmail.com

I think we should organise a social group in Perth. Would any Perth people have an interest in this?
