The composite processes used includes roll wrapping, filament winding, resin infusion, resin transfer molding (RTM), injection molding, SMC molding, hand lay-up, and stereolithography (SLA) for prototypes.

Materials are carbon fiber, fiberglass (e-glass), Aramid (Kevlar) and any combination thereof. These are also intermixed with traditional metals such as steel, aluminum and titanium. Plastics are also part of their product use.

Job Title:Product Development / Engineering Director
Reports to: Direct-General Manager
Positions Managed: Production / Development Engineers

Salary:
$90K-$110K plus bonus

Job Purpose:

Manage product design and development for new or existing products. Direct customer interface. Manage production and development engineering.

Responsibilities:

•Formalize and manage the product development process from end to end, including idea generation, concept development, tooling design, manufacturing methods, and launch execution.
•Ensure that products are designed or redesigned in order to meet quality and sales objectives.
•Direct interface with customer to insure that the customer's specific needs are met using sound engineering principles and practices.
•Directly manage production / development engineering staff to insure safety, housekeeping, production requirements and deadlines are met.
•Oversee production quality process.
•Engineering product drawing format, origination, and revision.
•Technical responsibility for material specifications, usage and procedures in the manufacturing process.
•Provide technical training for technicians as required.

Qualifications:
•Four y ear Mechanical Engineering degree, MBA or equivalent experience.
•Must have an understanding of composite processes, materials, and tooling design.
•Strong business understanding and experience working in a technical environment.
•Excellent project management and organizational skills.
•Ability to work under tight deadlines.
•Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
•Working knowledge of Solid Works, Auto Cad and Microsoft business applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
