I wanted to let the everyone know about a great desktop client for Twitter called TweetDeck that I've been using for a few weeks. TweetDeck is an Adobe Air application so it can run on a Mac or PC. What makes it a great app is it's ability to break down your incoming tweets in to a more manageable formate. If you're a Twitter user following 100's of people how can you possibly consume all that data? TweetDeck let's you break down your twitter stream in to user created groups and displays them as columns within the app. The 3 default groups on your deck include all tweets, @replies and DM's. I added 2 additional columns, one is a group feed with just the recruiter's and soucer's I follow and the other is a search feed that focuses on search terms I define. The only negative I have with the app is it's physical size on the desktop. I would love to see addition options other then the included "narrow columns" in the settings menu. Worth a look if you're looking to get a handle on Twitter.

Hi Eric,

I've been using Tweetdeck for awhile and agree it is a great app. When tweeting from the web, I l love iTweet.net which has cool drop down menus that show you if the follower is a mutual follow, allows you to insert character keys and even enables you to get stats on URLs. I switched from Twirl to Tweetdeck months ago but Tweetdeck can be a bit resource intensive so I use itTweet as an alternative.
