I wanted to see what everyones opinion of the possible changes coming to the healthcare industry as far as the " universal healthcare" question.
I have asked several "owners" of healtcare recruitment companies and they seem not to be concerned with the idea that "it will never happen".
I am hoping that there are more forward thinking people out there that have a contingency plan on this matter. My thinking if it does occur, there would be a bid process in place if jobs are transitioned onto government payrolls. If the positions maintain a civilian face I believe it may turn out to be more of a travel type contract position, where you have a bill rate to the company and a payrate to the employee.
What do you think?

I'm really not sure about parts of your post. I've been keeping my eye on the situation to some degree. But, I did not realize that making all medical professionals government employees was even being contemplated.

My question has always been; Where do they think they are going to get the medical professionals to cover the additional census? There is already a shortage.

I'd love to hear a deep discussion around this topic. Thanks for bringing it up.
