I just started recruiting for a nurse manager in an ambulatory care setting. Any ideas for sourcing/advertising?

The second is my favorite, traditional, pay-to-post job board... Absolutely Healthcare, located at www.healthjobsusa.com. Third is www.medXcentral.com. That is a new online social community for the medical industry. I've put that together. It's new... so membership is limited today. From both sides, this is the problem I see most...

Your recruiter can make or break your assignment. If you have a great assignment, even the tough times are easier to get through. If you have a terrible assignment along with a terrible recruiter..... Hell is easier to go through!!!

I would lke to know some of the stategies to makes assignments better for nurses AND recruiters!

Do you know your nurses personalities?
Do you know your nurses likes and dislikes?
Do you give it your all to give your nurses everything they are entitled to within managements limits?
There are always two sides to a story, do you have an open mind?

The truth is, nurses and recruiters don't have to be all ME, ME and against each other... There has to be a compromise and both need to be TRUTHFUL about the situation at hand.

Hi Epstein... great point(s). It's always been that simple for me. It's all about the candidate's needs, wants and preferences. Even more so in the Medical arena. Medical professionals are a true commodity these days... and will be for the next decade or two.

In any sales process, the outcome needs to be win-win.... with the first win being on your prospect's behalf.

How do you encourage people who are already employed to take a new job position. Also I am a college student and have friends are nursing student, but the curriculum is extremely difficult which turns many people away. Where are the incentives available.
I need to learn to work with both the recruiters and job searchers and would like to have some advice from you recruiters. I run a young website called www.medicaljobclassifieds.com. What can I do with this site to make your jobs easier, and make the site more effective.
