Required
• Recent experience with the Linux OS
• Understanding of TCP/IP
• Knowledge of configuring VLANs
• Understanding of Routing protocols
• Understanding of Spanning Tree
• Understanding of EtherChannel, Trunking, Link Aggregation
• Familiar with maintenance of current Cisco equipment (IOS loads, configuration backups, troubleshooting)
• Knowledge of infrastructure to support networks; cable types, single mode verses multimode, distance limitations
• Network monitoring and troubleshooting abilities

Desired
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, bash, Python)


Must have active TS SCI Lifestyle / Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
