TITLE: Core Java Developer
LOCATION: Jersey City, NJ
DURATION: 6 Months


Job Description:

Key Domain: Good understanding of Securities Back office Processing including Position Calculations, Stock Records, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

As a team member, actively participate in design, coding, testing, build, deployment, and support for the Global Income Processing system .
The successful candidate must have excellent technical skills and additionally be capable of working with both business and technology teams located in various regions to meet project objectives.

Technical Skills:

Senior level experience (7+ years) designing and implementing applications
Strong Core Java skills including JDBC, Collections, multi-threading.
Working experience with J2EE. Understanding of weblogic is a plus. Should have sound understanding of Spring framework.
Solid knowledge working with Relational databases (Sybase, Oracle) and good understanding of ORM concepts.
Experience with any BPM tool and Rules framework is a plus.
Strong Unix scripting and Perl scripting techniques
In-depth understanding of the software development process
Experience in building high performance and scalable system components

Non-Technical Skills:

Working experience in financial services and/or investment banking is mandatory.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with the business users and the global technology teams.
Sound work ethic.
