Hoping this split thing can work backwards!   I have a great candidate, former coworker and colleague who recently asked me to help him with his job search.

He has 10 years of current experience as a successful web-based software sales person who has always exceeded his sales quotas and was consistently ranked #1, #2, or #3 out of a 200 person national sales force.

Prior he was in commercial real estate and was very successful, and prior to that he had a career in the Marine Corp where he held a TS/SCI clearance.  Recently he has been doing Government security policy consulting.

He lives in the Washington DC area but is also open to deploying overseas  for 6 months to a year)  (doesn't want to relo though)

He is looking at a few options
#1 - government contracting / consulting or working directly for the government in the defense dept
#2 - software sales  (he has sold to commercial accounts and federal - nationally)
#3 - learn something completely different and new that he hasn't thought of yet

Industry wise... he knows the following industries well

• Commercial real estate
• ASP software market
• Defense
