Job Description 1. Import HTS and export ECCN classification 2. Handling of customs clearance and related questions for imports into the U.S. 3. Handling of export related questions for exports from the U.S. List of daily tasks 1. Import HTS and export ECCN classification 2. Coordination of import shipments by providing import clearance instructions to customs broker (e.g. material classification, value confirmation) 3. ECC Support of export shipments e.g. providing HTS/ ECCN classification, filing export declarations 4. Clearing of ECC blocked sales orders in SAP
Skill Required 1. Knowledge of U.S. Import and Export Regulations (Customs and Border Protection and Export Administration regulations) including experience on commodity classification according to U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Commodity Control List (CCL) 2. Direct experiences in the clearance of import shipments to the U.S. (customs brokerage, interactions with import brokers or U.S. Customs and Border Protection) 3. Direct experiences with export shipments, including checking for export license requirements and export reporting to U.S. Census 4. Communication skills
