Job Description Conduct reservoir simulation studies. This includes model construction, history matching, calibration and prediction phases. Present and participate in project technical reviews. Prepare progress reports on regular basis and final documentation upon completion of a study. Apply special simulation modeling techniques for complex reservoir studies according to the candidate's specialty. Propose and study various alternatives to develop new fields and/or optimize current production/injection strategies and has ability to analyze problems and recommend practical solutions. Evaluate and apply new modeling techniques, tools or technologies.
Skill Required Education: BS Petroleum Engineering or equivalent technical field. Experience: 15 years of related experience, including 10 years of intensive experience in the area of reservoir simulation. Preferred Requirements: MS or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent technical field and intensive industry training including appropriate specialized courses and seminars. Candidate must have an outstanding technical capability in numerical reservoir simulation in which the candidate has received broad industry recognition through publications, committee activities, etc. Key specialized area can be any one of the following: Fractured reservoir modeling (DPDP). Compositional Modeling. Complex well and smart completion modeling. Integrated surface facility and subsurface modeling. SCAL and PVT modeling applications. Neural network and artificial intelligence applications. Experience with ECLIPSE required
