Chancellor George Osbourne has been asked to put the interest of small businesses at the heart of emergency budget.

Recruitment professionals looking to outsource back office services to an agency in order to free up some of their time may be interested to hear that an emergency Budget will be presented on June 22nd 2010.

New chancellor George Osbourne will read the budget and one of the measures that must be contained in it is access to credit for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME's), according to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

Many recruitment professionals identify access to finance as one of the factors that prevent them from setting up a recruitment agency and an easing of credit conditions will be welcomed by the sector.

"SME's are looking at cash flow and taking more staff on. In the recovery phase, they will need to borrow to do that," explained Sara Lee, spokesperson for the FSB.

She went on to express hope that the budget will be lenient when it comes to taxing small businesses as they try to find their way in this period of austerity.
