Total Back Office Solutions can give you recruitment agency formation advice

Recent figures from the Office for National Statistics show that unemployment among the over-50s is increasing, which may interest those intending to set up a recruitment agency.

A charity working to aid those unemployed who are over 50 years of age, Prime, have urged the government to look into ways they can help the age group.

While the number of people of any age who are not in work decreased by 8,000 between April and June, the number of unemployed who are 50 and over increased during the same period by 14,000, figures from the Office for National Statistics show.

The charity notes that over-50s claiming jobseekers allowance are more likely to do so for longer periods than younger unemployed people.

Recent research by de Poel shows that the uptake of temporary workers is also on the rise, with many companies choosing to use such employees to fill gaps caused by the recession.
