Recruitment professionals have been encouraged to consider placing IT candidates in India.

People who have set up a recruitment company may want to focus on placing candidates in overseas countries such as India, which is currently enjoying an IT hiring boom, according to one insider.

Responding to a thread on business social networking site LinkedIn, Rushbh Shah explained that the Indian IT market "is at its peak and almost all the IT companies are hiring in bulk".

"This is where you have an opportunity to start your own firm, get yourself registered as the preferred vendor and collect some quick money," wrote the recruitment professional.

Mr Shah went on to explain that the fear of failure, running out money and an uncertain future were some of the issues that prevent people from starting their own recruitment agencies.

However, he said this is a risk people should take otherwise "you will never be able to come up and start something [for] yourself".

Focusing on a niche market can increase the chances of success, another recruitment professional advised.
