Recruiters looking to outsource back office solutions are set to benefit from chancellor George Osborne's proposals to help the UK's jobs market by reducing tax liabilities on the private sector.

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has welcomed the move outlined his Emergency Budget, saying it will create a stable tax environment for companies to plan.

Businesses planning to outsource recruitment agency timesheet management will be glad to hear that Mr Osborne has exempted new businesses from employer National Insurance Contributions, among other measures.

Commenting on the budget, Kevin Green, chief executive of the REC, explained that "it is clear that the private sector will need to grow jobs as the public sector sheds them, and this Budget sets the framework for this to happen".

"We need measures which encourage employers to take on more staff to tackle unemployment," he added, saying the rise in the NI thresholds will assist this.

Corporation tax will also be cut by one per cent next year.
