Total Back Office Solutions can handle your recruitment agency timesheet management

Workplace stress is triggering men to take more sick leave, according to a new survey that may offer useful information for those planning to set up a recruitment agency.

The survey was conducted by Medicash, a healthcare cash plan provider. It found that men are currently more prone to taking sick days due to stress than women - although women were found to have more stress-based ailments.

In the past month, 20 per cent of men took two sick days, the survey of some 3,000 workers found.

Women reported the most physical problems associated with stress, with 69 per cent of female interviewees admitted to suffering regular headaches; 45 per cent of men acknowledged the same.

Chief executive of Medicash Sue Weir commented: "Small amounts of pressure at work can enhance our performance but if that pressure becomes unremitting it can seriously affect our health."

Outsourcing back office solutions requirements could help those about to set up a recruitment agency find more time to focus on helping their clients find a job they can enjoy without suffering too much from stress.

A recent survey by Credant Technologies revealed that the majority of city workers intend to keep working while they are on holiday.
