Dorky Recruiters, Anti-Pimp gets profiled and Introducing Candidates to your Parents

What a week. Conferences, unconferences, crazy travel schedules for many, tons of blog posts and pictures for all. RecruitingBlogs was excited to attend both Onrec/Kennedy and HREvolution. As you know, we love the unconference movement and wanted to see what the power team of Steve Boese, Trish McFarlane, Crystal Peterson and Ben Eubanks would do with it. The result was spectacular.

While we were changing the world and dancing the night away, some good posts were written, like this one from Dave Mendoza, based on his conversation with Scott Gordon. Read the Monday Member Showcase here.

Remember that feeling int he pit of your stomach when you brought a date home to the folks? Eric Osterman says that is an all too familiar feeling for recruiters as well. Check out his post Bringing Candidates Home to Your Parents.

Do you find yourself writing a lot of posts geared towards candidates? Are you more interested in coaching? Check out Talent Bar. It's still under construction but we wanted to create a place where recruiters, HR Professionals and candidates and job seekers could connect. Let us know what you think.

Michael Glenn has us in stitches again with his latest post The Evolution of the Dorky Recruiter.

Punk Rock HR gives a Sunday Shout Out to HREvolution. Read it here.
