I definitely enjoy the remote aspect, no commute, cost savings in many areas and the biggest thing is I feel so much more productive. I don't have people stopping by my cubicle/office to gossip, or waste my time with other silly business.
One thing I WOULD like to do in the future, if I contract for businesses near my home base, is initially meet with the hiring manager(s) in person. It's nice for them to see me face to face so we can begin building trust and a feeling of team.
Another thing I'm working on creating is a checklist/form for hiring managers to fill out when I'm recruiting for them. Something that will give me more complete information re: the job, profile of person they are search for, "must haves" and "preferred but not required", etc.
