I’m excited to be traveling to Orlando for the upcoming SHRM 2014 Conference.

Now I would never consider myself an “expert” by any stretch when it comes to conference attendance, but having been to a few of these as well as some other statewide conferences, I’d like to share some credible advice that will make your conference going experience more enjoyable.

As recruiters, there are several things we need to do our jobs.  Decent job descriptions, realistic salary ranges, candidates who do not tell lies, managers who can make a hiring decision, etc. etc.



However, there is one thing that trumps all in the process. I’ve often referred to it as the currency in which mostly all recruiters and talent acquisitions folk trade…

By now, your holiday slowdown should be over. It’s been replaced with a mountain of email that needs to be reviewed; calendar invites that need to be accepted or declined, and the feeling of “Holy Smokes I got to get back up to speed quickly aka why did I take 2 weeks off?”
