Everyone is Replaceable - But at what cost?

In a tight job market with people being laid off, it's easy for companies to adopt the attitude of "lay off now, rehire later". Cutting costs NOW trumps future planning and development. Should Job seekers Pay to use a job seeker board to find jobs?

This was a thought provoking question posted on LinkedIn. What do you think? here's my answer:



“I believe that many so called recruiters and job boards are capitalizing on the high numbers of people ACTIVELY seeking work in order to somehow make it through, themselves. For me, I'm not doing this because I think it dilutes a brand. People should never have to pay for a job. EVER.
