Excellence accepts no excuses

This is a sad but true story.  In high school I was on the varsity basketball team. We had a very good team ranked in the top 5 in the state. We are approaching the 48th anniversary of the death of Catherine Genovese. In March of 1964 young Catherine was on her way home from work when she would brutally beaten and murdered by an attacker in the Queens borough of New York City.
