Chocolate Taster
As if we don’t munch enough of the good stuff on the weekend, a lucky few get to do it Monday - Friday, 9 - 5. Dubbed the real life Willy Wonka, Brandt Maybury is one of a few master connoisseurs taste testing products at Green & Black’s. Everyday Brandt is presented with new flavours, including the weird and the wacky, to experiment with - no surprises that he is a self confessed chocoholic! Warning though - Brandt’s found he has to hit the gym regularly to shift the extra calories.
Waterslide Tester
Sebastian Smith, a lucky student from Somerset landed the job of a lifetime travelling the world to try out adrenaline pumping chutes at Splashworld Resorts. Sebastian won a competition ran by First Choice holidays, for a 6 month contract with the travel agent that includes all expenses paid trips from Greece to Jamaica, as well as a £20,000 salary. Sebastian rates the exhilarating slides on two factors - biggest splash and adrenaline factor. Jealous much?
Island Caretaker
Ben Southall from Hampshire was on cloud 9 when he managed to secure the job of a lifetime as Island Caretaker of Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Part of a campaign ran by Tourism Queensland, Ben landed a 6 month contract with a whopping AUD$150,000 salary and rent free luxury island accommodation. His responsibilities included exploring the island, reporting back, feeding the fish, cleaning the pool and collecting the mail - all in the paradise environment.
Disney Princess
If your dream as a child was to grow up to become a princess this is your opportunity - we can’t all be Kate Middleton! Responsibilities include being worshipped by countless children and giving life to legendary Disney characters such as Minnie Mouse and Elsa from Frozen. Perks include making childrens dreams come true, free admission to Disney Parks and free reign to explore the secret cavernous underground land of Disney.
Google Tricycle Mapper
You can literally put the world on the map collecting data for Google’s Streetview as a Tricycle Mapper! One of a handful on the planet mapping and photographing areas that can’t be accessed with Google Mapping cars. The job is pretty sweet, exploring the world and getting in your daily exercise all at once.
