5 Essential Hiring Tips for IT Startups

Starting a new business is never easy, and choosing to put someone on payroll can be a huge decision. With a startup every penny, every meeting, released product, or marketing campaign is crucial, and you can’t risk hiring someone who lets you down. Fortunately, there are some tips available to ensure you find and hire the best person, every time.

1. Be Accurate and Persistent

Don’t wait until you realize you need someone to start working right now, instead keep your presence online and ensure you have a great pool of people to hire from as and when you need them. By writing detailed and accurate job descriptions, you will find people with the right qualifications, but be sure to include what your company can do for your new employee in order to ensure every awesome candidate is applying to work for you.

5. Promote Yourself to Catch the Best Candidates

Do a little self promotion about your amazing work place environment, have your current employees or founders leave reviews of what it’s like to work for the company, and make sure these reviews are easy to find, and tempt potential applicants to submit their CVs, otherwise you could miss out on some really great talent.
