Surely, there are many other ways how to get inspired. For example, reading stories about people who leave ordinary 9-5 day life and he.... But I can only hope that after reading the books mentioned bellow, you will go everywhere you wish at least in your head, and if that is not enough – travel for real! So, without any further ado – here are the most influential and inspiring books for all travelers. Bon appetite!

Eat, Pray, Love By Elizabeth Gilbert

Another inspiring book, especially for all women, is a widely popular piece written by Elizabeth Gilbert. In Eat, Pray, Love you will be able to travel (at least in a head) into three different countries. Italy to eat, India to pray, and Indonesia to love, and learn how to do all these things altogether with the main heroine of this book. It is surely a very inspiring and teaching book, which not only inspires to pack your stuff, but also to change the view of life as well. So – give it a shot!

Green Hills of Africa by Ernest Hemingway

If you are a huge fan of Ernest Hemingway and his books, and you also looking for some inspiration to travel, check this book! This is a semi-biographical book about the time then Ernest went to Africa with his wife to hunt wild animals. And since the main action is nearby the beautiful mountain Kilimanjaro, you will surely get inspired to travel. Go there, meet the locals and have a drink with the outstanding view on one of a few places in the whole Africa with snow!

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer

Widely popular and very inspiring book about the young man leaving everything behind and trying to find himself while traveling through the United States also has to be on this list. And that fact that this book portrays real events makes you rethink a lot of stuff about our society, pressure all of us are feeling, and the power of dreaming that leads to magical places.

On the Road by Jack Kerouac

A book that inspired the whole generation of wanderers around the United States should also be on this list. No wonder why it is called as a Bible of beatniks and hippies since the Kerouac himself was one of this movement's members. This book is a must-read to learn that it is like to wander around the country and get to know Kerouac very well too. Actually, the whole book is written based on actual events happened to him and his fellow travelers, poets, and friends. Clearly, this is one of my favorites.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The final book I would like to recommend you is written by a super famous author who is known for this inspirational works. And this book, the one that made Paulo Coelho famous, is one of these works as well. It will teach you that everything happens for the reasons, and although the journey to happiness is not that easy, the hard work and persistence will always pay off.
