Call me old fashioned, but I don't have a MySpace page. I started one several years ago to blog on, but closed it because I just didn't find any value in a professionally focused MySpace page. That also was about the time I ran into LinkedIn which to me was a more valueable professional networking tool. So I'm just scratching the surface of the Web 2.0 scene outside LinkedIn - a rookie if you will. That's why I'm going to get involved in more blogging and reading this site, ERE.net, sixdegreesfromdave.com and other leaders in this space. I firmly believe if you want to be an effective networker (especially in the technical recruiting space) you're going to have to be savvy with these techniques. An added bonus is being able to leverage not only the knowledge base that's within the walls of our organization, but of all the people who are generous enough to contribute their talents. So each day I'm going to devote 30-45 minutes to listening to what you have to say - so thanks in advance. I look forward to collaberating with you.
