I came across a newsworthy post this morning on RotorBlog, which is a “Social Networking and Online Communications Blog” written by Andrew Rosen who is also the Founder of one of our favorite sites Jobacle.

Rosen is spot on when he states that “LinkedIn has been dominating the business social network niche, there’s nothing wrong with that since it has been able to answer the social networking needs of business professionals and career oriented individuals.”

Well, he also gave us a glimpse of what he means by “dominating” and it is nothing short of amazing!

He writes, “Here in the United States, LinkedIn has grown 319% over the past year according to Nielsen Online, while Facebook grew by 98% and MySpace barely registered at 9%.” You can read the rest of his post here.

Those are some phenomenal numbers especially in comparison to their main competitors!

While Paramount Recruiting Partners, LLC maintains a presence on all 3 sites, it’s not entirely shocking to me because since I began focusing on my personal LinkedIn professional network in August 2007 I’ve been able to grow it to 205 Connections in just 9 months. These Connections give me access to 4,676,900+ professionals!
