But the best part of the ad is the fact that a recruitment classified company, in today’s era, would actually promote, even celebrate the fact that they have nothing to offer a jobseeker or HR professional other than job listings. Of course, job listings, when combined with high-quality, effective search functionality are the foundation upon which an effective jobs site is built, and I agree that pop-up ads are annoying. But to purposefully leave it at that and disregard all the valuable tools, resources, content, functionality, and services that a jobs site must have to effectively serve its users is absolute lunacy. It’s akin to trying to sell a car by stating, “It’s got an engine, but we didn’t want to burden you with those annoying ad-ons like a steering wheel, brakes, and doors. Just an engine.” Laughable.
