Never used a blog - but here it goes: We are searching for a senior securities partner for an AMLAW 200 firm. This is an exclusive search, and the client is not looking to simply add a book of business. The opportunity exists for the right person to step into some significant client relationships over time. This position is in the West. Please email or call if you represent any law firm partners looking to make a move.
1) The right person:
Corporate Partner, specifically with a broad background in sophisticated Securities and M&A work and a large firm, strong deal background
Mid to senior stage experience (20+ years out)
Demonstrated ability to attract and retain clients (a portable book of business if from a law firm setting, but could be current GC)
Can build on existing up-market securities practice
Strong experience dealing with boards of directors
Leader who possesses soft skills/”EQ”
2) The benefits for the right partner/group:
The premier corporate practice in the region with a strong vision to become a regional leader in securities and M&A work
A very high level of fellow attorneys to practice with in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Prominent synergistic specialties in M&A, Tax and ERISA
Securities specialty leadership opportunity as well as opportunity to inherit significant client relationships
The opportunity created by a growing California presence and strong regional offices, in a nimble, market-driven firm
Independence and autonomy - the latitude to build your practice the way they feel is best
Potential for a first year guarantee in terms of income and a compensation structure with the flexibility to create financial incentive for the right candidate
Strong firm leadership and western lifestyle versus national firm lifestyle
Thanks for any assistance!
