I've just seen that LinkedIn upgraded their job posting page and added a feature so that you can now have applicants apply online through your ATS. This is great for managing the candidate flow and most likely ensures that you at least respond to each and every candidate which once in a while may be hard if you get a lot of applicants through email. As well it gives you (or at least us here) an automated tracking of the source so we can see the effectiveness of posting jobs on LinkedIn (not too convinced about that effectiveness).

It does make LinkedIn lose a bit of the networking charm of course and I'm wondering whether candidates like the idea of now applying through an anonymous ATS.
