I am just working on a new project to staff a major initiative in open source development and will soon have a clear idea of the number of positions. I am working with the C level exec to determine locations that can be rich in mining open source software developers. I need to get this data that will help in deciding a location for recruiting. Please do keep in mind that these will all be full time positions.

Any thoughts or sugestions on locations (USA only) and any suggestions to build a rich candidate pool??
