Everyone dreams he/she can work around his/her friends on day. It'll be more comfortable and efficient to work with your friends. It's awesome.
Here is my survey in LinkedIn (http://twurl.nl/mb0rdj), Raghunandan mentions why he referral:
"As an employee, I would like to refer my trusted friend for the open positions because, I am responsible for creating value to my company as
1. I am aware of the expertise the person brings to the table.
2. I am aware of his integrity and sincereness, which my company looks at as one of the prime requirement for employing a new person
3. I can always counsel and mentor him if required, since he will listen to my advise
4. I can build a strong relation with the person / recommend his services / attitude to the manager, who can rely on such verifications
In my opinion, by referring we have a sense of satisfaction of referring suitable candidates, which also helps the team to concentrate in developing such individuals with confidence, since there is an obligation from the existing employee and prospective employee to have a commitment towards the task."
Great idea! Raghunandan would like to refer his trusted friend for he know the friends and create more value to the company.
What I consider in another aspect, can you expand your network in your company through referral? Sometimes you may not find suitable friends to fill the position, while your colleagues do. You are in disadvantage. You know, all employees who your colleagues recommended around you! In another aspect, your network and relationship is stronger than with others if he is referred by you.
However, you guy may think where can I qualify such candidates? Where can I find? How much should I cost? It's not hard for you to find candites since the SNS is so mature now. e.g. LinkedIn. But you should spend lots of time and money on interviewing. No, you can find my site (http://jobirn.com). We provides video inerview tool instead of cold calling, and also contact through messenger. Easy then.
Friends, I suggest you start job refer to expand your network in your company, thanks.
