The Software Configuration Build Engineer will maintain base source code branches and the build environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the creation and validation of product builds, including tool development and scripting duties. The SCM/Build Engineer is required to work closely with key members of the application team they support (technical project leads, architects, lead developers etc.) to meet delivery milestones for builds and releases.

The ideal candidate will be a possess configuration management experience and will be detailed-oriented. The individual will continuously strive to administer, improve and automate our software configuration management system, build and build validation methods, as well as the delivery system.

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

* Work closely with application team and provide SCM and Build support

* Perform scripting and build automation development

* Perform Software Configuration/Release/Build Management

* Compile code and maintain development and test code baselines

* Troubleshoot build and SCM problems

Desired Skills/Education:

* Solid understanding of Configuration Management best practice principles

* Ability to assess quickly the current configuration management process

* Ability to implement, train, and maintain configuration management process

* 1-2 years experience implementing SCM processes and tools in a web-based and client-server environment

* Hands-on experience with SCM tools i.e. StarTeam, ClearCase, Subversion, SourceSafe and CVS

* Experience with build automation tools

* Experience in Ant, Perl scripting languages

* Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with technical project leads, developers, and QA team members

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline

* Capable of effectively organizing and managing tasks and time in a dynamic environment

* Troubleshooting and problem isolation skills as well as the ability to clearly communicating complex issues to coworkers (peers, developers, and managers)

* Experience in developing utilities in Java or .Net applications

* Direct experience in Subversion very valuable
