RedHat Linux Admin, EMC Needed to Join a Top Technical Team!

Worldwide company is looking to hire a Linux Administrator for office in Phoenix, Arizona that is skilled in the setup and maintenance of RedHat Linux based servers and EMC storage. Perform daily administration and support of RedHat Linux servers and SAN which utilizes EMC storage and Brocade switches. Includes hardware and software installation/upgrade, shell scripting, system performance monitoring, system sizing, capacity planning, system integration, and hardware diagnostics. Perform root cause analysis for issues/problems and create preventative measures. Interfaces with vendor support groups and other departments to ensure proper escalation and coordination towards problem resolution. Monitor performance of oracle databases running on Linux and making appropriate tuning changes to achieve optimal performance. Participates in defining technical architecture for Linux servers and storage solutions. Work closely with the applications development and database administration teams, guiding developers in best practices related to using the underlying LINUX infrastructure and assisting them in resolving application and performance problems. Utilize Red Hat entitlement server for patch management. Perform monitoring, capacity planning and schedule preventive maintenance for Data Center environments (HVAC, UPS, Security). Provide 7x24 on-call troubleshooting and problem resolution. Must have 3-5+ years experience working with RedHat Linux, experience utilizing SNMP and/or HP Sitescope for monitoring, proven experience in scripting skills in Shell and/or Perl. Experience installing and maintaining server hardware. Experience diagnosing and isolating system level hardware and software issues. Experience working in large data centers running highly available web applications with established metrics to measure SLAs. Preferred but not required background is Oracle, SAN, NAS, RAC, PCI standards. Cutting-edge technology. Great work environment!
