Thank You RecruitingBlogs Community & ZoomInfo

By Dave Mendoza, Master Cybersleuth, Affiliate Partner, JobMachine Inc. (720) 733-2022

Recruitingblogs.com announced today that “SixDegreesfromDave.com” was recognized as “Best Overall Recruitment Blog of 2007″ and “Best Recruitment Indus....” 689 votes were cast on behalf of 10 categories.

I want to thank Jason Davis for his efforts in organizing the event and for ZoomInfo’s generous and consistent support of the recruitment blogging community in sponsoring the event. Above all, I thank you, the readers who expressed their support and made HireAbility’s “Best Recruiting Blog” award and today’s latest recognition possible. It is exceptionally gratifying to be among so many fantastic blogs from peers I admire which participated from throughout the blogosphere which Jason Davis has organized into critical mass at the Recruitingblogs.com community.

“SixDegrees…” spotlights HR industry leaders, sourcing gurus, global staffing practices and social networking. The common denominator has been how the elements of new media and strategic staffing have evolved together to enhance the capabilities of our profession and in so doing, contributed to our sense of community.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Hans Gieskes at H3 for providing the social networking’s essential homework with a box full of books via UPS which sparked the conversation with Jason Gorham at CareerMetaSearch who produced the site’s name.

I thank Dennis Smith, RecruitingAnimal, Steven Levy, and Joel Cheesman for producing content in the early days that I admired and introduced me to the blogosphere. Special kudos to above all to Dennis and “The Animal” who regularly followed up on the launch and progress of this site.

Above all, thank you to Shally Steckerl, Glenn Gutmacher and Gerry Crispin for the underpinnings of thought leadership which have played such a large influence in how I view our profession and what makes it special.

What is important about today’s recognition is that it makes it that much easier to give back - to bring the limelight to the rank and file and the thought leadership of this industry whose accomplishments are deserving of attention above all else. I will make 2008 all about your contributions.
