I was watching the news last night and saw 800 people in line to apply for a serving position at a newly opened Olive Garden here in Cape Coral, FL. One woman said that she has been out of work since November 07. My wife was talking to an old friend that lives in the area and she said she's been searching for a job as well and cannot find anything or anyone that will hire her. She isn't searching for an Executive position either.
When will this joke economy turn upwards? I drive around town (Cape Coral) and it's starting to remind me of Detroit...windows boarded up and empty and people breaking into the empties and doing God knows what in them.

Anyone else feeling the pinch like we are here in Southwest Florida?

I think the economy is much worse in some areas than others. It is very busy in the Boston area, we really haven't had a slowdown at all. I hope it picks up for you down in Florida, that is such a great area. I went to school down there and this is the time of year when I really miss it.
