Hello all,
First off I thank each of you that post in this blog. I have learned a lot from reading various posts here and now I have my own.
I may be getting out of the Air Force in the coming months. I am a recruiter and love the recruiting side of the business but, I am ignorant to the other side of civilian recruiting(cultivating applicants/split placements etc...). I am a Business/Marketing major currently attending college( 15 classes to go). I am interested in the recruiting field for various reason aside from a potentially lucrative career. I truly love putting a young person in the Air Force, I see them through the entire process and enjoy every minute of it. I have read many posts(here and beyond) about starting a recruiting business. Let me say that I am no stranger to hard work and 15 hour days(I am in a horrible zone for the AF) but how does one really get started without "civilian" contacts and not spending $2000 for a website candidate pool? What are the best companies to contact for work and how is that approach made? In the event that I do get out I will be moving to Houston TX and would love the chance to pick the mind of a seasoned recruiter. Thanks again, V/r Jason Sr.
