A financial manager has to be involved in various types of jobs starting from planning and management to forecasting. These types of services are often provided on 24/7 basis. It is likely that you have to spend extra hours attending to the problems. You must be willing to travel if assigned a job of managing multiple facilities in different locations.

Getting FM jobs

Most of the applicants successful in finding facilities management jobs are from engineering or business management background. There are many institutions that offer degree in FM.  FM responsibilities require managerial knowledge, engineering knowledge and different skills. However, any formal education cannot provide all that is required for such jobs. On job experience may help a lot. Thus, if you find an opportunity of internship grab it immediately.
