I recently read a great article that discussed helpful pointers for people interested in strengthening the quality of their resume on ERE titled, Your Resume is Boring – And How to Increase Your Career Opportunities, by Dr. John Sullivan, a thought leader in the HR world. One of the greatest resume flaws Dr. Sullivan mentioned is that people tend to undersell themselves by minimizing their accomplishments and experiences. There are a few points Dr. Sullivan made that I would like to expand on from a recruitment marketing perspective.
