Digital Marketing Trends and How to Decide Which Can Help Your New Business

Data confirms the effectiveness of digital marketing, especially when you take into consideration the low cost. You will likely pay less than now and see a greater return on your investment.

If you haven't adjusted your small business's marketing plan to make room for an extensive digital marketing strategy, you need to get with the times- and fast! However, you may not know much about the industry or how to get started. Learn these digital marketing trends and how to decide which can help your new business.

Video Digital Marketing

Most consumers prefer watching a video to reading a lengthy article. Luckily, you can take advantage of that trend by making fun and informative video marketing content. You can create a video to explain certain aspects of your industry or how to use certain products. It doesn't hurt to add a little bit of fun into the mix, too. Post your videos on your website and on social media. Make sure you include the name of your company and the logo as often as possible to increase brand recognition.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

One of the biggest trends you will hear in digital marketing is SEO (search engine optimization). This refers to the practice of manufacturing your company's presence to fit into search engine algorithms and get to the first page of search engine results. Experts divide optimization efforts into three categories: on site, off site, and technical SEO. On site practices include anything that you do on your website to increase your placement in search engine results, such as fast website speeds, meta tags, and keywords. Off-site includes efforts outside of your business websites, such as guest blogging and social media.

Apps

We use apps regularly throughout the day for both function and entertainment. Determine an app your customers can use and develop it. Consider including some form of incentive for customers to download and utilize the app, such as a reward program. You probably won't sell the app for much, but the app can help bring you into the 21st century and connect with your audience.

Digital marketing shows no signs of stopping, so you should look into what you need to do to make the change. You will save more in the long run and create a better bond with your customers that will encourage repeat business.
