Gerry and Mark will tell you it's tough enough getting reasonable data from large companies with "well established" recruiting functions and systems. I'll ask around but don't hold your breath for more than a few minutes. Also, their methodology is sound whereas so many other surveys I've seen presented on RBC as "fact" are remarkably full of holes.

The data is useful. But, as Sandra points out, it's about a minor portion of the Recruiting World. Generally, the companies in the survey are neither trend setters nor innovators. They are just big. Revenue and traffic for job boards seems to be going up in spite of the data in this report.

the takeaway is not one of setting trends but of how this specific population is sourcing - no more, less

It just doesn't get reported that way.
